#1 Delete register keys
Then open start->Run and type "regedit".
Messenger 8.0
Browse to:
HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareMicrosoftMSNMessenger
And delete the key: Policies
Messenger 8.1
Browse to:
HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareMicrosoftWindowsLiveCommunicationsClient
And delete the key: Shared
